I totally agree. I don't think they need to get rid of any of the supercouples. They just need to write better stories for them. And I'm not talking about any of them being frontburner all the time. But, use the history and the relationships to create strong supporting stories when other characters are frontburner at any given time. |

I hate Steve & Kayla. I hated them the first go round and nothing has improved or changed for me this time. I'm also not too big of a fan of Max & Stephanie, but can they really be considered a super-couple? |

It pains me to say this, but I would have to choose Steve & Kayla right now. They were my FAVORITES in the 80's, but Hogan so screwed up their return, that nothing has seemed right since then. The "crazy" Steve was just WAY too much. Now, if they could get a really good angsty story, then I would be all for them because no one can play the angst like them. |

Abe and Lexie aren't a supercouple because supercouple-ness (?) is a formula, not an opinion. |

That's exactly what I was thinking! I love Jawn, but am not a big fan of Jawn/Blondie. |

Actually with Stefano gone, Tony can leave too. Plus Hogan ruined Tony having him being held captive on some far away island for 20 or so years. Tanna are barely on and so far Leann H. is average at best. I know its mostly because of the writing, but if DAYS arent going to seriously use them, then get rid of them. |

I would get rid of Tony and Anna they have no real story, followed by Steve and Kayla which Days did without for years, then Bo and Hope their storylines have been so drab lately and the characters have lost all passion. The last couple to mention would be John and Marlena. My only comment is that Days wouldn't be on today if it wasn't for these two. They are the definition of supercouple and the chemistry is still as strong as it was 22 years ago. :hail: |

Too many supercouples in Salem right now. Backburning them just makes their fan bases angry that they are being wasted - newcomers are blasted if they take air time away from vets ... Storylines become redo's of old stuff .... you almost have to break them up for a chance at a fresh romance. If I had to say which supercouple could be eliminated for the time being I would say Tanna - but then again they are kind of fresh again and they do provide comic relief. Steve and Kayla have been in major storylines for awhile now, perhaps they could take a break for awhile I can't see Bo and Hope or John and Marlena ever being dropped from the show. I think Lexie and Abe even though they aren't a super couple being dropped or put on reoccurring. tough call! |

Tony and Anna..not because I don't like them, but the writers haven't exactly given them the best of story lines. Hardly see them, so don't care. John and Marlena...I think they both ought to move on to someone else. I don't want to see them axed, but not with each other. Steve and Kayla...Back in the day, they were great, but now they are such a boring couple. Kayla is such a stubborn woman. I didn't like the fact that when the doctor told her she had to stay in bed, she went running to rescue Steve and Hope. It's her fault she had the baby prematurely just because she wouldn't listen to her doctor. As for Steve, I could see him with someone else. He and Billie sure had some chemistry. |

I would probably go with Tony and Anna but they aren't really one. I think Higley has done much better with Steve/Kayla (with the exception of not mentioning the Ava thing with them) and Days IMO needs a third couple. If you want to get rid of them, bring back Jack and Jen or something but a third couple is needed IMO. Having said that, I would not be against getting rid of one piece of a couple such as Tony without Anna (or vice versa) or Steve without Kayla. I love them but I'm always about the show and the story first so if there was something good to explore I say go there. |
